Wholesale, Custom Studio & Manufacturing FAQs

Your artwork. Your apparel collection. Cut and sewn in Phoenix.

Use these answers to choose the right starting point, prepare a useful brief and understand what must be approved before production. Compare the three ways to start.

What is the difference between Wholesale, Custom Studio and Manufacturing?

Wholesale: choose existing Yoganastix styles and artwork to stock your business. Custom Studio: explore established styles with your own logo or placement artwork and organize a request. Manufacturing: scope all-over prints, private-label production or garment development. The Studio is a design and planning tool; production starts only after the required project approvals.

What are the minimum order quantities?

Existing wholesale starts at 6 per matching style, design and color. Eligible placement-artwork orders start at 12, with 6-piece exact reorders. Sizes may mix within that matching item. All-over print projects start at 100; the style and size allocation is confirmed in the proposal. Private-label production starts at 100, while new development, special materials and accessories need their own feasibility review. The 12-piece offer does not cover every possible new product.

Can I mix sizes, colors or different designs to meet the minimum?

You may mix available sizes within a matching wholesale or placement-print line item. Different styles, colors or artwork do not automatically combine. For example, 3 Small + 4 Medium + 3 Large + 2 Extra Large totals 12 when the style, color and design are the same. That is an arithmetic example, not a recommended size assortment for every business.

How much does it cost to start an apparel brand?

There is no single price for “creating a brand.” An apparel opening order and the work of building a brand are different budgets. For production, start with the product, quantity, material, artwork readiness and required date. An existing production style can avoid developing a pattern you do not need; a new garment requires a separate development scope.

Request an itemized quote covering garments, artwork preparation or original design where needed, samples or development, printing, labeling, packaging, shipping and applicable tax. Check which charges are included so you do not count them twice. Your sales, website, photography and marketing budgets may be separate from manufacturing. Read the manufacturing guide and prepare your brief with the planner.

Can I start with an existing style instead of developing a new garment?

Yes. Begin with an established style when its shape, fit and material already suit your customer. Add your artwork and plan an appropriate first quantity. You can reorder that product, add other eligible styles or explore new garment development as your needs grow. There is no requirement to replace a successful starting style.

Do I need finished artwork, and can I pay Yoganastix to create it?

You can inquire with an idea or authorized artwork files. Original artwork and more involved design assistance are available as separately scoped services. Artwork preparation, revisions and production files should be identified in the quote before work begins. Supplying usable artwork does not automatically require purchasing an original design service. Use the artwork guide to prepare your questions.

Do I need a tech pack?

Not simply to choose an existing Yoganastix production style and add eligible artwork. For a new garment, bring the references, sample, measurements, patterns or technical specifications you have; the review determines what is still needed. A visual mockup is not the same as a production-ready technical specification.

Do you make more than yoga clothing or standard promotional T-shirts?

Yes. Buyers include independent clothing stores, resort boutiques, yoga, Pilates and fitness businesses, festivals, artists and apparel brands. Start by discussing the actual product and fit, including premium tees and tanks with attention to neckline, length, shape, softness and drape. Scarves and other accessories have product-specific materials, dimensions and minimums. Confirm the current available style rather than assuming every idea is production-ready.

Can an artist turn original art into scarves and apparel?

Yes, discuss the intended product, finished dimensions, material, print coverage and quantity. A scarf composition may need a different layout from a chest print or an engineered garment design. Confirm reproduction rights and the artwork-development scope before production.

Are the garments manufactured in the USA? Where does the fabric come from?

Yoganastix designs, prints, cuts and sews apparel in Phoenix, Arizona. Confirm the operations and material origin applicable to your chosen product. U.S. garment production does not mean every fabric or trim originated in the United States. Use product-specific origin wording for your own labels and marketing.

Which recycled fabrics are available?

Recycled Eco Luxe is one option: 180 GSM, double-brushed, 95% recycled polyester and 5% spandex. That specification applies to that fabric—not automatically to every garment or scarf. Confirm the material, care, availability and supporting information for your selected product. See the fabric overview.

Can I print white artwork on a black garment?

Sublimation does not print white ink and is not the route for white artwork on black fabric. Black garments use DTF where appropriate. The material, color, artwork and desired appearance determine the print method and price. A digital mockup is not a guarantee of a physical color match.

Can I review a sample, and how long will production take?

Discuss proof and sample requirements as part of the intended production project. Artwork preparation, materials, fit development, sampling, quantities and shop scheduling all affect the timeline. The quote confirms the approval steps and timing. Do not apply a retail shipping estimate to a custom-manufacturing project. For an event, provide both the event date and the required arrival date before committing to a launch promise.

Can I visit the Phoenix shop or meet the people making my order?

Ask about an appointment and include a short project brief. We confirm availability and the purpose of the visit before arranging a time; please do not arrive without an appointment. Watch the factory tour or request a production conversation and mention a shop visit.

Can I move a product from an overseas supplier to U.S. production?

Bring specifications, material needs, quantities and any samples, patterns or artwork you own or are authorized to reproduce. We review whether an existing production style or new development is appropriate. Compare equivalent specifications and the complete order commitment, not just unit prices. Domestic production is not automatically the lowest-cost route for every project.

What should I tell you about my brand and target customer?

Explain who buys the product and who wears it, what the brand stands for, why this product belongs in the line, where it will be sold, the intended retail price, and when it is needed. Add size demand, sales history or buyer feedback when available. This helps the production conversation focus on a product you can actually sell rather than a design in isolation.

Does using the Studio place an order or approve manufacturing?

No. The workspace saves requests for review and does not take payment. A preview, saved design or inquiry does not replace the final quote, required artwork or sample approvals, specifications, quantities and production payment arrangements. Keep the approved revision with your project records.

How do I reorder and grow the collection?

Keep the approved style, color, artwork and size quantities together. An exact placement-print reorder starts at 6 matching pieces. Changes may create a new line item or scope. Before expanding, review what sold, available stock, size demand, returns and customer feedback. Yoganastix's own orders show what its buyers purchased; your store's actual sell-through requires your retail results. We do not promise sales or treat every order as proof of end-customer demand.
